2024 National Award-Winning Deck Builder
After working for nearly 30 years as a Design Engineer in the automotive, heavy construction equipment, aerospace, and medical industries, Jim wanted to do more than design products for large corporations. He was a great tool and equipment designer with many accolades, but he wanted to build what he designed. It was time to take his craft to an audience that he could work with on a personal level: the homeowner.
As a byproduct of his background, Jim’s pieces display the precision and level of detail that he is known for. His designs incorporate multiple materials, resulting in an industrial flair with a modern, clean look.
Jim entered the 5th deck he built into a contest by Deck Specialist magazine, and the project took home 2nd place in the overall category. Goal achieved!

Working on job sites every day didn't just teach us how to build great decks. It taught us how to build smarter. To eliminate the back-breaking, time-consuming task of hauling gear from the street to the backyard, Jim designed a custom tool and material cart for his own crew.
What began as a simple effort to streamline our own job sites quickly turned into a lineup of products designed to benefit the entire deck-building community.
